Cameroon: Brigade Commander killed In Cameroon’s Restive Northwest English-speaking Region

 Early Friday, July 8, 2022, the commander of Mbiame Gendarmerie Brigade, was ambushed and killed by separatist fighters at a checkpoint in Mbiame, a locality in the Bui division Northwest region.

Separatist commander simply identified as “general no pity” claimed responsibility for the attack and displayed the body of the slain commander on social media.




In a video circulating on social media, No Pity with his fighters brought a coffin and transported the corpse of Richard Bakodock to an unknown destination.


Cameroon’s two English-speaking regions of Northwest and Southwest have been experiencing an armed separatist conflict since 2017.
